Bb1000ma vs bb2000

How close does the bb1000ma get? It has the same pickups essentially no? I figure it'll be an upgrade to my sire v7, I am not a fan of how quiet the bass feels when both pups are on. I want a 70s jazz at least but ideally a bb1000 or 2000
