BBE 362 Sonic Maximizer

I just bought a BBE sonic Maximizer 362. i'm thinking of stuffing it in my bass Rig (I use a Hartke HA3500, with a Nady Rack Wireless, an Alesis Nano Compressor, and a Korg Rack Tuner. I had a CE10 chourus in the rack but it died. Will the BBE help the sound or should it go in the PA FX rack? (I also use a Hartke VX410 and a Hartke VX210) Several years ago I used an Apex exciter in my SWR rig and it really seemed to clear things up. im hoping the BBE will do the same.

I used one in with an ampeg b2re and every time you would hit a note, you would hear a hiss as the unit activated.....less when the process is down and more when it is up....it is more pronounced through cabs with tweeters as well as through a pa. I sent the unit back to bbe and they sent it back repaired and it still did the same thing.

I had one of these for a week or so that I bought from a fellow TBer in a package deal. I got rid of it because I have a rack compressor. I know that technically a compressor and the BBE are 2 different things but if one does have a compressor will you even notice what a BBE is doing? :hmm: I couldn't. That's not to flame people who love the BBE stuff because there are lots of you. It is just my experience.
