BC Rich Mockingbird Advice

I've always been interested in the dual P basses, and I have the chance to pick up a used Mockingbird for $150. My first choice would be a Fender Blacktop, but I haven't seen any available lately. The Mockingbird in question is a NJ Series with a bolt on neck. I know the Japanese NJ's were seen as a good value for the money; I think this one is a Korean model. Pickups aside, do you think this would be worth the money, or should I keep looking. Thank you.

PS: My main bass is a Fender Precision through Ashdown ABM head/cabs.

There's one on Reverb right now for 300, so 150 seems like a pretty good deal if it isn't jacked up somehow

I have a '00 Platinum with dual white pickups (whether they're DiMarzios or BDSM is in question), and it absolutely, sonically speaking, crushes my Blacktop.

On the flip side, ergnomically speaking, it's an unplayable mess. After trying to dump it on Craigslist for nearly a year, I've given up and am currently planning to take it's electronics out to install in said Blacktop.

$150 is pretty cheap, and I wouldn't let people's criticism get you down.. My budget Platinum is actually a pretty well laid out insturment, but all that said, it's got zero resale value.

Why is so unplayable i found early 2000's for 199 i was actually thinking about pulling the trigger

Super neck divey, weighs a ton, no contours so it'll dig into your arm.

Although, I eventually started hanging it by putting both ends of the strap on the front peg, so it hangs from one pin. It won't neck dive anymore, it'll sort of pivot. Better, but not perfect.

The P/P design of Mbird, though, just lays down a wall of sound. It's impressive enough that I still own it, an am still trying to figure out how to balance it.

Great sounding well made basses and the look killer. The problem with me was the ergonomics, I was just way too uncomfortable trying to play it.
