personally not a fan of BC Rich's. i've tried an NJ beast and warlock, as well as a platinum warlock. i personally don't like BC Riches, but have no qualms with them or people who play them (unlike some people here it seems).
i found that both the plat and nj warlocks had some pretty bad neckdive tendancies. this is fixable obviously, but it's still a strike against the bass none the less. as well, i wasn't a fan of the tone. kinda bright.
at the same time, the nj i played was quite playable, fun actually. i don't mind the neck at all.
in the end, make the choice for yourself. don't let anyone tell you what you like or dislike. go play a platinum warlock and if you really like it, then get it. if it works for you, the sound and the playability, then go nuts man.
on a side note, if you like more extreme shapes, you may want to check out Invalid Link Removed
their imports are good. I'm itchin for a Templar Genisis at the moment.
may also want to check out Dean or ESP. not s radical as BCR, but cool none the less.
good luck
