As a novice how do you get the rounded cut like that so that the core shows?
As a novice how do you get the rounded cut like that so that the core shows?
What i did was drill out the center, cut out the rest with a band saw, then shaped it using 4 different rasps and a round file.
this bass should be completed today! the pickup gets routed and installed in about an hour.

i have set this bass up and played it a good bit last night. i must say, it plays effortlessly. the action is nice an low and the acoustic fretless tone is unlike any i have heard before.
