I’m going to to first show announced/San Diego (where I live). I think it’s gonna be pretty stupendous, and I’m mostly thrilled by the statement of “creative Reinterpretations of music” from the 3 albums. It will not be a slave-ish tribute band of KC song reproduction, hoping for some true creativity and spontaneity, all of them very capable and lean in that direction.

Hope they'll make an european tour as well. I attended almost every KC related show in my region since I discovered them - Belew Trio, Stick Men, some one time impro line up Levin-Mastelotto-Bozzio-Holdsworth and I even went to see Asia (not my thing) because of John Wetton..
I saw KC themselves three times. Twice it was on those last tours with three drummers. While the shows were cool as hell (Gavin Harrison is unbelievable!), they omitted Belew era except some instrumentals. Worst thing was they played Construkction of Light, but only the first half, before Adrian's vocals start on the record - really unpleasant, "coitus interruptus" kind of listening experience.
On the other hand the first time I saw them on The Power to Believe tour - with Belew and Trey Gunn - is still one of the best concerts I've ever been to. For me Belew is the voice of KC and I love his stage appearance. So hopefuly this project will make it over the ocean - similiar recent show with Talking Heads' Remain in Light didn't..

There is a Phoenix Arizona show in late fall I think… I may drive up there to check it out. I saw that KC Quartet twice in the early 80s so not sure whether I want to dive whole hog into this nostalgia thing, but I can’t deny that it would be pretty cool to see Steve Vai playing this stuff

That might have depended on where/where you saw PG. I saw him here in Houston, which was near (or maybe was) the last stop on the tour. Tony sounded fine. Would +3dB for Tony have been even better? Of course, but maybe don’t ask a bassist how loud the bass should be. But I didn’t have any trouble hearing him.

I caught their tour in Seattle at the Key Arena (I think it's now 'Climate Pledge Arena').
I wasn't entirely the venue, though; because Sting's 51 P-Bass came through loud and clear.
Tony's Ray was scooped, buried in the subs and highs by the Drums - the typical 'modern' FOH mix
I'm sure it's mostly down to Sting making darn sure his instrument was present.

October 5 NYC.
Instead of Fripp sitting in the shadows we'll get two hams hoping around playing animal noises! Can't quite picture Vai playing Fripp parts but I'm sure he'll manage.
Should be fun, PLUS Danny Carey! Yikes!
