Extra points if they are pathological attention whores who cannot exist without outside adoration.
I'm thinking of a certain wild man who dodged the draft when there was an actual war on but once he was too old to serve and was slipping into the cut corner bin, he reinvented himself as uber patriotman. It didn't do much to revive his musical career but the paparazzi were once again hanging out in his front yard.

The only Fleetwod Mac I really liked was the original blues band, but I have to admit that the way Mick and John locked in for the pop songs in the most famous line-up of the band was perfect.

Read his autobiography. There were all kinds of issues, and heroin wasn't because of Patty Boyd. It was because he's an addict by nature.

Or take my word for it. I like Clapton's early work, he was very influential on my playing when I was a teenager, and I wish him well. But his book was dreary to me. It is like sitting in an AA meeting while people spout their 12 step mantras for 400 pages. He would go deep down whatever addictive rabbit hole he was in, be it playing his guitar, heroin (He spent the equivalent of 10 thousand pounds every week on H when he was with Patty Boyd) or alcohol, where he drank so much when he tried to quit he had seizures.

The numbers and the lifestyle are foreign to me. Glad he made it through alive, though.

I'm a Rush fan. According to the movie "Beyond the Lighted Stage", they like to sit quietly and read books after a concert. As far as I know, Lee and Lifeson are still married to the same women they married back in the 70s. Peart probably would be as well, if his wife hadn't tragically died.

I have a guy that I work with that says they weren't necessarily the choir boys we all hear about. Not that they were man-whores, but other things rock stars often find themselves dabbling in.

Here's a good Fleetwood story or two:
Christine dated Dennis Wilson drummer of the Beach Boys at a point when he was homeless because of rehab stints. He moved into her charming custom pool house in Malibu and naturally it burned to the ground. She had troubles getting rid of him after that.
The Fleetwood Inc. dumped a totally coked out Stevie Nicks at an emergency room and abandoned her there at the curb.

Thanks for clarifying that. Yes, Mick Fleetwood was born June 1947, and Jenny Boyd was born Nov 1947. So when she was 15, he was 15 or 16.
