Oh no it's not! The whole point of this thread is for us to manage the OP's time and remind him (hourly, daily, weekly, monthly?) to NOT listen to a Beato top 20 list. If we put a link, he may accidentally listen to it, and we'd have to start all over!

"top __ lists" of anything are the best possible clickbait. For some reason, people love those. Maybe it's because it can spark online watercooler conversation about how right or wrong the outlet's opinion is (even though it's the opinion of the writer), what the conversant's would have picked, etc. "Top __ lists" are easily digestible soundbytes made for our shrinking attention spans.

Even for the video game site I write and do PR for... Many of us dislike numerical scores for our reviews because too many people just look at the numbers and shoot their online mouths off without actually reading the review to get the context behind the numbers. We also hem and haw over doing "Our list of ___ in ___ category" because while those lists are great for site traffic numbers and social media engagement, we want to make sure they reflect the integrity of our writers and the site's vision. It's not about the clicks and likes, but dammit those are what keep the lights on.

Lots of his videos have old man yells at cloud energy. He equates more chords, the better a song is but then fawns over Dreams by Fleetwood Mac which essentially a 2 chord vamp.

Even his long interviews are of poor quality due to his failure to become sufficiently well-informed about the interviewee so that he can (1) ask good questions, and (2) not come off as ignorant to any viewers who ARE well-informed.

People forget that it doesn't cost any money to create your own top 20 list and post it on YouTube for free. It's only Rick's list.
