Anyone ever heard of this guy?

These bass guitars look pretty cool. According to my computer desktop speakers they sound pretty modern, but I'd love to hear one in person.

Yes he makes some fine instruments and is local to me, well within a half hour or so. Great guy too. If I weren't making my own I'd have him build one for me. I can't say I've played one though, but have seen him play them live, nice modern sound and he can play well too.

The little inlayed bass clef looks nice.....

I think they look great. Its true that they look like an human derriere, but its a nice female derriere!

Just came across a couple of these instruments in a small music shop in Rochester (right at Eastman). Clearly nice quality work and unique in design. The price seems to be overpriced for a luthier that is relatively unknown, but the basses have a nice feel and look. Didn't see any singlecuts in person, just the doublecut, which is pretty angular and not at all butt-like.
