Before & After

Picked up this 1973 H-II-BN last fall for a reasonable price. One of its previous owners had removed the high gloss poly finish from the neck and headstock which destroyed the headstock logo and the coat of arms decals.

The body of the bass and the hardware were in excellent condition, so other than replacing the grounding wire nothing else was needed other than a good cleaning and polishing using Virtuoso's products

I'm not a fan of sanded down necks so I had a luthier friend of mine refinish the neck in poly. I found the Hagstrom logo and crest decals online and had my luthier friend install them.

Here's a before pic of the headstock front and back.

The bass is now back to its original condition. You gotta love Hagstrom necks they're so easy and comfortable to play.

Just sharing. Have a good day.
