Beginner amp around $100?

any idea on what would be the best bang for my buck? it'll be my first amp, so doesn't need to be very powerful. just practicing. thanks!

My first amp was a Kustom 10 watt, 3 band EQ with a headphone port.

I think it was more than 100$ (Canadian) but it was basically the cheapest one I could find...

For the price range you are describing, I would be on the lookout for a used Peavey combo, something along the lines of a Basic 40. Bang for the buck Peavey is very hard to beat!

My local shop has 12 or so sub $100 bass amps piled in the corner. The specs are always similar (30 watts or less), with an 8" woofer. Nothing seems to stand out at that price.
