behringer anyone else have this problem?

    i just bought the behringer bod100 overdrive pedal very cheap. when i switch it off with the footpedal its still half as distorted as it was on. is this just bad design or is it just my one.
    any help

    I would get it exchanged, mine has had no problems at all.

    battery and all

    If you're using the battery it came with, it would definitely be worth replacing that. Also, it would be worth checking the other components of your set up - for example, a lot of active basses sound distorted when their battery goes and it could be, if you've got an active bass, that this has happened coincidently at the same time as you've started using the pedal.

    If you bought it from a store, they should have some sort of refund policy.

    If you bought it new, then it has a 1 year warranty and you should be able to get it exchanged.
