Behringer? Laney?

Hello there, I'm looking forward to buy an amplifier for home practice mostly but i certainly need to play loud enough in a studio with a drumset and an electric guitar. Comparing prices I've noticed a couple of models that they are really cheap for their power like Laney RB4 richter bass witch is up to 160watts and costs only 333 euros, witch would be about 360 dollars and two models from the Behringer the BX1800 (180watts) and BXL3000 (300watts) that cost 217 and 285 euros respectively. Regarding that one fender bassman 100 costs at about 450 euros i wonder if something goes wrong with these models that i looked. Would you ever buy one of those Behringer or the Laney amp? Or if you wouldn't what could you suggest in the price of 250-350 dollars that would sound loud enough to stand in a 4 players band studio situation?

I had a behringer bx1200(i don't like the alum speakers) but anyway the amp is like a tank,,i used it for practise and jamming,( does good,but i wouldn't use it out,i also think for the price if you get two or more years of hard use,your good,i got it because i didn't want to but alot of wear and tear on my other amps.but i used it recording the di is good and will get you buy,i don't know about the other amps they have,but i would get another bx1200 or bx1800.

I have a Laney 2x10 combo with 300 watts (R5 i think it's called, the old version). It's a decent amp i'd say for the money, I payed 400 euro brand new. It's good enoug to have quite rehearsals, but anything more will require you to plug in a seperate speaker, then it's loud enough to play small bars and clubs.

I think you will have to spend 400 euro to get something that does what you are looking for, whatever brand you chose will make little to no difference. At this price point, quality and sound are all pretty even I'd say.

laney is more credible. they have been around for along time, and i have never had problems with their gear. not top-notch, but gets the job done.

I've owned the 3000T Behringer head for about 2 years and it keeps on ticking with no reliablity issues. I use it at least 4 days a week for at least 2 hours at a time. I've used it in live situations with singer,guitar, drums, keyboard and sax with no problems being heard.I recommend it.
