Behringer V-Tone Bass BDI21 is it worth it?

Behringer V-Tone Bass BDI21 is it worth getting? any reviews you could recommend? or have you tried this preamp?

I'm planning on getting this preamp because a friend suggested it to me. I just want to know if it's any good and if it's worth getting. Your honest thoughts and reviews are much appreciated.

I've used it once, the church sound guy bought one so we could remove the bass amp from the stage to go silent. It sounded pretty good to me, although I didn't mess with it much. That was a hectic week. I think the guy playing Sunday used it too, and he sounded pretty good.

I do know that it's a Sansamp BDDI clone, and I hear it's got a little less mid-scoop than the Sansamp. I should also say that the soundguy did buy the Sansamp too, but he liked the sound of the Behringer better enough to put that on the stage in the main sanctuary and relegate the sansamp to our cafe stage, for the teen's Wednesday night service.

You may want to do a search on this site. I do recall someone putting a Behringer DI up against a Sansamp and the Behringer came out quite well.

Like the SansAmp, it works great for direct recording or going direct through a PA system. If you're already playing through a bass amp, then you don't really need a DI unless you're recording or playing live. I know some people like to use the SansAmp as a "stomp box" in front of their bass amp but I've never done that.
