I added the casters as soon as I bought them, the top handles work for me. I do have a set of 15" PA speakers and I added these handles and they work great. Best thing for your back is a roadie ;) (or a couple of young guys in the band).

For what OP is asking this would be my vote. I’m in a similar position where once I have a cab centered in my hands I’m golden, but getting it in and out of places with odd angles - or a particularly deep entryway to a trunk is where I need some help.

That said. I’ll never not tell someone to buy a new amp..

A valid point, and one that is definitely on the table, as they say. I've been looking at the TB classifieds, but nothing has really hooked me for the right deal as of yet.

The group I work with rehearses in our keyboard players basement.

A couple of years back I started watching the TB classifieds, Craigslist, ect. for a inexpensive combo to leave parked at our pratice area.

Found a fairly local to me, mint condition, Ampeg BA115V2 combo. Orginal asking price, $250.00, got it for $200.00.

Not only do I like the sound/tone of the Ampeg, the being able to simply walk down into that basement with only my bass in one hand, (and a small cooler of adult beverages in the other :)), makes it more than worth the investment.

That's what my set up was for years, I had the Yorkville sitting on top of my other amp in his basement. (The un-Godly heavy Peavey Combo300 from 1980-something.) 90% of the time, I'm playing through my Pandora and cans along to an iPad. I pulled the Yorkville out of his basement for a possible jam with other people, which did not pan out, due to an issue with me.

But simply moving it that one time made me realize, I am, indeed, old and weak. Lol.

Whilst the weight overall isn't too bad (around 50 pounds, it's the single handle on the top of the combo that makes it an irritating lug.

I got the Magna Cart several folks here recommended. Looks pretty good - apparently there's an optional collapsing plastic bin that mounts onto it too, for carrying bags of groceries or whatever. Have to get one of those too...

The nose plate does have no slip nipples on it, to prevent possibly scratching the tolex of a cab I put on a thick cabinet shelf liner with 3M command double sided tape. Bonus it filled in the holes for carrying smaller stuff.
That basket is neat.

Do you have a clamshell bag for your combo amp? If so, do you have the duffle strap handle in addition to side handles? Do they make it that much easier to carry and load compared to the typical combo amp top mounted handle?

If your back gives out because you wanted to save a few bucks in the short term, that's not good. You don't want that. Seriously, think about it. I gave up all my heavy gear and went lighter. Sure, it cost a bit initially, but I'm so glad I did.

Cool! The bins arrived, the fold up and down easily, stack / interlock whether open or closed, and even interlock with the cart with a special latch the cart has:

Also neat, the cart has a tiny storage compartment, might be big enough for a couple 3 small luggage straps...
