Being sick is the worst

Urgh, I found out today I have some virus in my throat. I've been having pains swallowing liquid and foods for a few days now, and after waiting some few hours in the ER, they told me I have one. The doctor's gonna phone me in a couple days to tell me if I have strep throat or something like that.

Anyone else have the same problem this flu season?

Boy, I hate to be contrary, but I think being sick is the best!!

Nah, I remember having a virus in my throat. It was really bad. I hope you get better in a hurry.

Being too sick to go to work, but not too sick to play the bass and goof off on TB all day is not so horrible.

Being so sick that you should be home, but having to go to work anyway sucks.

I'm sick too. I caught a cold as soon as the Habs were eliminated from the playoff picture (more than a week ago). I'm getting my appetite back now, but I wasn't able to eat much for the past week due to lack of appetite. I lost like 10 lbs.

I woke up yesterday morning at 5am and kept blowing my nose because it wouldn't stop being stuffed up. I finnally got back to bed and in the morning took some sinus medication.

Worked like a charm!

But I forgot to take it this morning. Now I'm not such a happy panda.

I got sick Easter morning. Ear infection. Monday morning, terrible congestion and my whole windpipe was clogged. Couldn't breathe, couldn't cough. Soaked in the shower until the humidity loosened up everything. That was the start. Missed three days of work.

Around Thursday, the perpetual cough began. I haven't had normal sleep since. Saturday, had band practice, felt okay. Then went to help a friend install a water heater. Was there in his cold utility room from 3pm to 1:45am. Throat was wrecked from that. Sunday, barely moved. Just sat around feeling depressed and worthless.

Still coughing like an idiot. Still can't get sleep.

what is annoying is when I get sick, without fail, my wife will also get sick but will get it worse. Every. Single. Time. So by default I get stuck trying to watch the kids and being sick while she rests. Especially horrible with the stomache flu. Although the last time I had the stomache flu I had to [bad word]ing work. I work from home and let me tell you - what a pain. Lousy 3rd party deadlines I had to meet.

Its been a very, very long time since I've been able to, oh lets call it, enjoy being sick. (Resting all day, being waited on, etc).
