Another band in Iowa has the same name we do. Our drummer paid to get the trademark and logo for the band. We have not heard from the other band since.

Here's an interesting case which went to the high court:

Long story short is that there's a longstanding British-based group, and another group from Germany. The names of the respective groups, their repertoire, stage shows, and manner of dress are all strikingly similar. The British group sought an injunction against the German group.
