Got this Friday from fellow TBer nad who presented a deal I couldn't pass up. Have been wanting a long scale semi/hollow for some time, and my wish was granted.
Ibanez AGB140! Has a couple finish cracks but plays great. I immediately strung it up with some Chrome XL flats and it sounds great, plays great. this is one LONG bass. It has a few inches over my P and J.
Only gripe is the pickup is a bit too bright and thin, I was hoping for more thud. I would guess mostly due to the pup placement. If I could redesign I would move the pickup another inch or two towards the neck. I guess that's one advantage the later Artcores had, 2 pickups for more tone options. But the tone control is very nice, and the one tone it does have is very useable. A little 6 band and notch tweaking got it where I like it.
The other hollow I was after was the Rogue VB100 which I still might pick up, at 180 new it's hard to say no.
