Q the EQ

Instead of centering on common EQ frequencies, Q uses the note C in 3 different octaves as its frequency centers, ensuring a very musical curve.

Is there any rational in that claim or is it BS?
 
Per google: C Note Frequencies by Octave
    • C0: 16.35 Hz
    • C1: 32.70 Hz
    • C2: 65.41 Hz
    • C3: 130.81 Hz
    • C4 (Middle C): 261.63 Hz
    • C5: 523.25 Hz
    • C6: 1046.50 Hz
    • C7: 2093.00 Hz
    • C8: 4186.01 Hz
I suppose it's as fine a way as any to choose frequency centers, but I don't see how it could possibly ensure anything sounds "more musical" than anything else in practice.

IMHO BS.

Vintage Ampeg SVT mid range frequencies...which do you prefer:

250Hz (closet note B)
800hz (closest note G)
3000hz (closest note F#)

If you are curious, I think I tend to favor 800hz

To me these have totally different impacts on your tone...but I don't perceive any of them as related to a key center or note.

I would say 3K is more about the attack than tone. Lots of string rattle and gank in that range.

Just for correctness, those are the frequencies on a piano keyboard. The middle C (C4) on the piano sounds one octave lower on the bass.
