Picked up a new cab a few weeks ago and realized I forgot to post a NCD thread!
A few months back I was "living my best life" with the powerful and relatively lightweight Barefaced cab I've had for the past couple of years – the lightest single 12" cabinet I'd ever had – when I noticed the TB thread about the GR Bass cabinets. Specifically, that a 12" model weighed a mere 17 lbs – a full 12 lbs less than the BF!
I found a vendor on Reverb offering them with a 30-day return. Figured I couldn't go wrong with a deal like that, so I took the plunge. I went with the so-called natural fiber version over the standard carbon fiber model because I dig the vintage look. Must say I'm really loving it – this is probably the last cabinet I'll ever buy! (I know, famous last words!) I posted a mini-review on the GR Bass thread. It's so light even my wife can carry it!
