Benefits of High Action?

I like it as low as possible without fret buzz. I know how to adjust a truss rod so I am not worried about weather/humidity or whatever affecting the set-up.

i know a lot of bassists with p's and high action who sound nothing like jamerson. honestly, i don't know where you could even come up with that.

my p has higher action, my spector legends, ibanex SRX590, and Laguna LB224 have low actions. the neck of my p just sounds better with higher action. I dont think i sound anything like jamerson.
