Double Bass Bent/Egg pin

I've been interested in experimenting with a bent pin, and I took my bass to my local luthier. The block is to small to drill, but he has lent me an egg pin to experiment with to figure out the angles etc.

Does anyone have any suggestions? Or possibly a lead on an egg pin I could purchase?

I've found one dealer that sells Stahlhammer end pins for double basses, but I'm not entirely convinced if I ordered it that a cello end pin wouldn't show up.

Let me know.

I've checked those out as well on KC Strings. To be complete honest, I don't care for them aesthetically. I know this is a trivial consideration, and sound is paramount, but I just can't get past it. However, I've never seen one in person, so maybe if I experienced the results first hand it would change my mind.
