Bent Wrist

It always bothers me when I see a bass player bending his wrist this much. My wrist huts just looking at that picture.

I gotta admit, I'm just the opposite: When I see a bassist with a mostly straight wrist on their plucking hand, I feel very uncomfortable, I have to stop watching!

Looks like the standard hand position to play a G Major chord on guitar. I'm guessing this bassist also has some experience strumming acoustic guitar?

Also this observation.
Those who sit and play with the bass on the right leg will tend to do that.
I,for one,who sit with the bass in a "classical" guitar position don't.
