Berg IP Q???

Contact Berg of course. Maybe face an external fan at the heat sink fins in the meantime. The heatsink on the berg is huge so I'd suspect something else is wrong.

But this is one of my pet peeves - Amps that self protect from overheating by just shutting down. In my book, no amp should just shut down. Better would be to limit, flash a light, lower the power from the supply, lower output power until safe temps, "distort", or just about anything else than just shutdown. This is not pro.

Funny, cause I think the first time it happened last night was within the first 3 or 4 songs. I wonder if the problem isn't something other than over heating? Agreed, Jim is great with customer service. I'm within driving distance too. Thanks!

Cables perhaps?

Maybe you can't play "Oh Macarena" over and over again because the "no obnoxious covers" circuit kicks in......and people think it's heat.:rollno:
IPs can be really loud. Did you forget to take the cover off when you were playing?:)

I've played my IPs outside in 90 degree temps for 2 hours straight several times and inside for 4 hours at a stretch with no issues.

Jim will take care of this.
