Has anyone tried the B/Amp with any other cabinets besides Bergantino.. I have a chance to purchase one but I only have a Berg HS410 .On the other side ,I have plenty of other cabs to choose from.. Your thoughts?

Bergantino B/Amp

I've played mine through a Glockenklang Double, a Vanderkley 112EXT, a Bergantino HD112, an Audiokinesis TC212 plus a few others at rehearsal places. I kept the AK, although all were awesome cabinets, each doing its thing. I get that someone might think that the B|Amp needs a Berg cab to shine, and indeed the profiles do work, but it's just something extra, which other amps don't have anyway. It's a great amp all around, profiles or not, don't worry about it.
Thanks.. That's what I was hoping.. Might just buy it and experiment with it..

There's also a Generic Profile available which should work well with any cabinet, including ours.
Thanks for the info Jim.. I picked it up yesterday and already registered it.. Ill have to check to see if I have the updated software too.. Can't wait to use it for "Studio" and "Live"..

Sounds great with any cabinet, any bass.
And I'm really finicky about gear - but the B|Amp is one of my best all time gear purchases.
Can't go wrong with Bergantino quality.

I just talked to "Joe" yesterday.. He's very helpful.. I just got my B/Amp and needed to upgrade the Firmware.. He was quick to respond and I had it ready for the some Studio work last night.. It worked great! I used the D.I to the board with a '96 USA P Bass with Bart's and 9050L Flats.. Turned on the OD in the B/Amp and had a great Tube like tone with the EQ set flat.. Also kept the HPF ON,at 40hz... Nice,Tight and Right... My Studio Engineer was very happy! Hats off to you "Mr.Jim Bergantino" !
I have a pair of those cabs also. Sounds great my TrickFish Bullhead and soon will also have the Berg Forte HP pushing them.
Gotta Berg B Amp coming in the mail. Should be here Monday.
I've been using, for Live gigs, a Genzler MG800 with a Schroeder PL12 (Single 12) cabinet and a Schroeder 12-12L (Dual 12 Cab) Both are 8 ohm cabs.
Anything I should know about set up??? I've been keeping the basses pretty flat but boosting low end on the Genzler in live settings. Seems that is needed with that set up.
Got a gig in a week, so don't have a lot of time to figure the B Amp out first. So wondering if I can gig with it so soon.
Gotta feeling the Berg is gonna be the new baby.

It's pretty much a standard "4 EQ" amp if ya don't go into the extended menu areas.
Bass, low mid, hi mid and treble... and the frequencies are right there onscreen for you to see exactly what you're doing. Very simple.
So, yes, very easy and quick to set up into a gig situation straight away.
The BAmp's class is its ability to allow users to dial out feedback, add drive etc, compression, add hpf and/ or lp filtering, and, of course, load cabinet profiles to suit.
But all the extended menu offerings are not necessary for it to sound great straight off the bat.
OMG.. New Amp Day.... Got the Berg B Amp in today. Initial trial with a single 12" Schroeder PL12. WOW... some kinda killer sound, and dials in easier than I thought.
Then went to rehearsal and connected to my Epifani 310 UL that has the new EPI DIST Drivers in it. Man does that thing sing with my USA NS4 Bahama Blue Spector. Guys at rehearsal were in awe.
I couldn't be happier. Next have to try her with both Schroeder Cabs, the single 12" PL12 and a dual 12" a 12-12L. That will likely be the Gig rig.

Anyone who’s thinking about getting this little amp, think of one thing…THEY STOPPED MAKING THEM…I’m rather disgruntled that Bergantino would market the “next best thing since the wheel” only to discontinue it like a year old iPhone after just a few years. For me, forrget it. I’m no more loyal to this brand name. I’ve moved to Genzler, thank you.

You’re “Partly” right there Dave!;-) We’re not currently making them because we’re waiting on parts. Try to buy a new car recently? Well we use a lot more advanced parts than the standard resistors, capacitors and op amps like other brands. The BAmp technology has been incorporated across all our amp products in various forms and will be very present in our upcoming Super Pre. Also, our BAmp has been out since 2015, a “ little” longer than a few years, and is still one of the most technologically advanced bass amps in the world, even 7 years later. You’re certainly welcome to switch brands, especially since many of them are starting to incorporate features we’ve had standard since the beginning like VHPFs and now even VLPFs. And unlike other brands, with our products you didn’t buy obsolescence as you watched them introduce new products only a few months after you purchased their most recent model. No, we gave out free firmware updates to all owners, both original and those who bought used. So if you bought 7 years ago you can still have the latest features at no charge. And I can assure you software development isn’t free. Enjoy your Genzler. I’m sure Jeff will love to have you on board!
Since we're here, add Bag End S-15D and Acme Low B-1 to the list of cabs the B|Amp works great with.
