My HDN 210 looks like overkill, but it actually weighs about the same as my cocktail jazz cab (Acme Low-B1). I like the height with the vertical configuration (middle aged tall guy, tired of crouching down) and the exceptionally shallow depth (because a lot of my stages are shallow).
The fidelity in the midrange is really special - especially when running the speaker profile in the B|Amp.
I'm surprised Bergantino hasn't caught on more with double bass players - the hi-fi philosophy seems more relevant here than for magnetic bass guitars. A neo 1x10 by them would destroy for this application.

I love my HT112’s — I have the later grill than yours. I have yet to find a cabinet I like more. And like yourself, I’ll use em with BG and/or upright.I own a pair of the original HT112 cabs. I've been using them now for over two decades so I guess I like themI use them for doubling gigs or BG only gigs. For DB only gigs I usually take my AI Coda out.
I think I was already using a Walter Woods head when I got them. For BG only gigs I sometimes used my A.M.P. heads instead.

Believe it or not, the original Bergantino factory was around the corner from a restaurant where I was host bassist for a blues jam. When jammers asked about the cabs (they weren’t very common then) I’d tell them they were made here in town, you could see the old mill building from the front porch, walk there in less than five minutes.
If I had a lighter berg 112 version I might feel a little differently....

Funny how tastes change....................Now they only feel heavy because compared to my AI combos, they are![]()
Has anyone else used their combo as a spkr as well?
