I remember the first time I heard them. My band was practicing in my buddy's house back in 1977 (I think) and in-between sets he played Sweet Child of Innocence (from Masque) on his PA system. It was one of those musical moments you never forget and the bass, fuggetaboutit. Dave was our very own Chris Squire! Get that album if you don't have it.

Ripping tone!! My buddy plays in a Who band and his Forte tone rips also.
I have the Forte hp amp and HG 410 cabinet. I am trying to find the right settings on the amp to make the HG cab sound its best. I have tried a lot of different settings/firmware inputs, ( I have the Modern Vintage/XS305 loaded now) but haven't been able to get a decent sound I like out of the cabinet. On the flip side, when I hook the cabinet up to my Reeves 225 tube amp it sounds totally amazing! The same with my GK Head. I am wondering if anyone has some setting suggestions for the HP head I am missing. Thanks
Ok, so the VLPF is at noon. Have you tried running that all the way clockwise (5 pm) to get all of the highs out of the amp? Also, have you done any of the latest updates from the website?

I have tried some of the new firmwares, B15, Vintage, and BFT which I have loaded now and like the best so far. I haven't tried the OD yet. Is that something I might like? I see that it is paired with BFT for downloading. I will try that tonight.

Where in the signal chain does the DI (pre-EQ) exit - post compressor and drive i'm assuming, but does the HPF and LPF also get included?

I’m a little late to the party but I received a Forte HP I purchased from a fellow TB”er, hooked it up tonite to my new fEARless F112 built by Paul Tollini and all I can say is HOLY CRAP! Now I know what all the praise is about on both components. It’s a killer combo!
PS: Hey Dave, thank you for some of the best music ever produced. My personal favorite is People of the Southwind. That tune is one if the best ever. I know it wasn’t a huge hit for you guys but it should have been.

I have a dealer near me and broke down and got the HP2 today. I own the Forte D, which I love. I figured, if the HP2 doesn't wow me, I'll just return it. Well, I'm definitely not returning it!
Had rehearsal tonight with keys/drums/vocals. I wasn't sure exactly what to expect other than 50% greater max wattage. But dayyyyum. As great as the Forte D is, the HP2 is noticeably better for my needs (funk, R&B, disco, fusion stuff). The LPF & HPF help me carve out such space in the mix. Punchiness you dream about and more headroom than seems possible. Bravo is all I can say.
