Bergantino Forte Owners

Just bought a Bergantino Forte D and a NXV112 to use at home and I am very happy with it overall. Volume is not really a need right now but it’s there if and when I need down the road. I’m just wondering how many of you Forte owners out there also use additional tone shaping pedals with it like an eq or preamp pedal. I find I can get close to the tone I’m looking for but need to use an Empress parametric eq pedal to fine tweak it. That being said I’m running a passive precision bass and like to sculpt a little more midrange out then what the 4 band eq offers.
I love my Forte D and HP2. I've found that I like the sound of the Forte D best.
However, I purchased a new amp built by a fellow member that is now my "go to". It's Woodring Acoustics WA2T700. It has a tube preamp and class D power. It's light weight and it has all the tone I will ever need. It's also very light. He built 10 of them and they're all pretty much spoken for.
Here's a pic:

So you run the Super Pre into the front of the Forte through the instrument input? Curious if it can fit on top of the Forte head or is it too big. I can’t seem to find any dimensions for it.

I was running it into the front of the amp, yes. I have since sold it. From memory it fits on top of the forte. It was overkill for what I needed, so I swapped it out for the Origin.

I have an HP2 and was interested in the Accessory foot switch. Does anyone know if they are specific to various Forte models? On the Bergantino website its says the foot switch is for HP2X and HP2 models. Does that mean there is a specific foot switch for the previous HP model that I need to avoid? Or is there just the one foot switch that will work for all Forte models?

I’m late to this. I was under the impression you should always use the effect loop because there is some, probably small but perceptible, benefit? A lot of things will fit on top of the Forte but some of them get warm, probably never enough to cause a problem.

I’ve never found it to make that much of a difference. The Forte is also very transparent, so it’s takes pedals well.

It does get a little hot, but not hot enough to damage anything on top of it. My biggest issue is things rattle off of it when it’s cranked 😂

FWIW, I sold the Origin Bassrig and am back using my v1 SansAmp in front of the Forte.
