Bergantino Forte

Recently purchased Speakon to 1/4” cable to power my non Berg cabs with my forte’

Works perfectly as expected!

Still found factory settings ( everything Flat - volume / master as needed.

Played with tones. Wife told me too much bass ( she loves electric bass) so reset to all flat ....

Could hear transparent Berg tone colored by Marshall 1550

Now my forte’ rig is totally versatile : can use my HDN 1-12 or any combination of cabs!

I finally bit the bullet and ordered a Berg Forte. I'm still a Thunderfunk lover but since I'm playing out a bit more these days I thought it would be nice to have another head in the rotation (plus I got a couple of opportunities to play through the Berg B|Amp and really liked the sound). I run my TFunk pretty much flat and just didn't see the need to get all the bells and whistles with the B|Amp. I pretty much do any required tone tweaking from my bass (passive or active) or vary my sound more by playing with a pick, fingers or where on the bass I pluck the strings (closer to the bridge or neck).
Looking forward to hearing it through my Berg HT112-ER. It's been my cabinet of choice for many years now.:)

The Berg Forte arrived yesterday evening just in time for a 3 piece gig. I paired it with my Berg HT-112-ER and the tone was phat and buttery. Tonally love it! (pun, pun :D).
I ran it the entire evening totally flat, tweaking only my passive tone control (on my Rosoce and Fender Elite P-Bass and varying the VRC a bit to get a good feel for how it worked). Honestly, the gear heads can have the B|Amp model. The Forte is totally plug and play and perfect for me! :thumbsup:

HDN 1-12 is 8 ohms
No problems with my forte’ And HDN 1-12.

Worked out all afternoon focusing on utilizing Low B
Genre : Blues
Bass: Squier Jazz 5 Active
Cables : Monster

Across all 5 strings the forte’ articulated all Equally.

First I used HDN 1-12; then for added fun ; the Marshall 1550

Neither the amp nor cabs had any issues.

Anyone choosing forte’ will be satisfied with power and clarity evenly across all strings including Low B

I used to enjoy adjusting tones for individual tunes on my amps but in live context there is no time . Bergantino forte’ offers me best tone ( all flat) so If Needed I can quickly make changes on my bass easily .

Hey! I just purchased a used Forte D and I'm both ecstatic and disappointed. Hoping someone here can help clear things up. The amp makes a sizable hiss once plugged into my cabinet. The hiss increases with the master volume as expected, but I am at a loss for why this is happening. I've spent years reading stuff on this site about how great Bergantinos sound and how high end they are in terms of quality, which makes me think there MUST be an issue with this one right? By contrast, I have two darkglass heads sitting right next to it on my desk. I was literally pulling the same power cable and speak on cable out of the Forte and into the other heads to compare (powered down first, obviously). The darkglass heads are dead silent until I start to play. Same with my Markbass head.

In the meantime, playing through the hiss, the amp sounds like a dream and I'm thrilled. I simply can't take this to a gig and look the sound guy in the eyes with this hiss happening. Hoping someone here can tell me I'm missing something :(

Hello

I am a recent owner of the forte HP. I match it with a 2x12 barefaced cabinet. It sounds amazing and clean through the cab. However the DI signal has quite a bit of noise. Anybody else have this issue? I have the same noise when I run the DI pre and post eq. The noise is there even when there is no instrument plugged into the amp. Its a noise floor. A slight buzz. It is not really bad but I am very surprised it is this noisy. I have had this issue at home, various clubs and rehearsal studios. I have an A-designs Reddi also so I can use this for FOH and iem if necessary. However, I was hoping to not have to bring this to some gigs as I don't want to always have to carry the REDDI and hook it up etc. I have used the REDDI alongside the HP forte and it is completely quiet through the same electrical out lit and extension chord etc. as the forte.

Sorry - another quick one about the Forte...

Is there a reason why I can plug my bass into both the SEND and RETURN, and hear sound from both? Usually it is just RETURN. Also (and more strangely) why is it affected by EQ? I thought it was bypassing the preamp/EQ and going straight to the poweramp. At least that's how it behaves on my other amps!
