My approach was to select a midrange cone with good power handling, and a sensitivity halfways between what one woofer of choice has, and two. Then one can use very mild EQ if even needed to get a good balance in either situation. In my case, I biamp, so I just adjust the power amp trims for each situation.

Tough to come by a small-con midrange that actually cab pull this off: I chose the 18 Sound 6ND410 partly for this, and partly for its excellent smoothness, high frequency reach and off axis response.

Serious, I wonder how much influence threads like this have on builders? I remember how everyone raved about the distortion channel of the AG500, and wished is was available seperate. Guess what, now it is. I think we should start a DREAM section and really see how much influence we have on the market...

No, they don't exist. But, I would love to see these cabinets made. No horn. No neo speakers. Just great, vintage 15" tone. Anyone else want to see these made?

Sounds great. I would also like to see a high powered, 4 ohm version, as I like 15" cabs as stand alone cabs.
