Bergantino NXT210 or NXT112?

Hey all,

I think I’ve finally been bitten by the Bergantino bug. Got my eye on a pair (maybe ultimately three 😳) of the NXT cabs - either the NXT210 or the NXT112. It’s gotta be two (or three) of the same model - no mixing and matching for this guy.

While I love the compactness and light weight of the NXT112, the NXT210 isn’t exactly big and heavy either, so I really could be persuaded to go either way - depending mostly on the overall tone, frequency response…..and vibe.

Anyone here have any experience with both of these cabs by any chance? Please let me know your impressions.

I have the older CN112 and CN210, had the 112 first then bought the 210 to go with it, the 112 goes lower but with a tad of eq the 210 gets there, the 210 to me is a tad clearer and it’s form factor is better imho, sits up a bit better, well balanced and easy to carry, I tend to use the 210 a lot more, rarely have I needed both, Jim has made a lot of improvements since the CN line but I still love these cabs

If ya don't get enough response, take this over to: Club Bergantino! Let's See Those Rigs! where you'll get LOTS of opinions.
Thanks, Chuck. I’ve taken the opportunity to do an “all threads” search on the term “NXT112”, and have already come up with some feedback that has confirmed my expectations: that the NXT112/ENXT112 combination is what I want - based on its tonal profile, and not just its size and weight.

Nevertheless in the spirit of proper due diligence and thoroughness, I will take your suggestion to post on the Club Bergantino thread, and see what kind of responses I get. Hey, it never hurts to collect more opinions! 😉

Unfortunately, I do not have any real life experience with these cabs, but, for what it's worth, I have the complete Celestion Bergantino IR set and very much prefer the NXT 210 over the 112.
Sure real life and impulse response are not the same thing... however the set is prfessionally made and offers a level field of comparison across the model range.

Why is that, ODNT? Please elaborate.

well, I basically prefer the soundscape the 210 provides. Its wider, more 3D, for my ear reaches deeper and higher. I can always reign that in with my Magellan Pre in Contour B if I aim for a more vintage tone. I like its immidiacy and feel of accuracy. Unfortunatly my words may convey not the same meaning you might associate them with. Hope this makes sense.

At the end of the day, you need to test both in a rehearsal/gig setting to see which really suits you - but you knew that already.
