Bergantino stack?

I've owned 2 CN-210's and also 2 HD-112's and the HDN 210/112 combo and now currently have a REF 210/112 combo... I prefer the 210/112 combo in any of the models.. They compliment each other so well and I think it's alittle more versatile..
I'll second the 210, 112 Ref stack combination. Mixed cab bliss!
I stack a Berg CN112 on top of a CN212, sounds outstanding. HDN series cabs are similar to the CN cabs, so using any one of them together should be more than ok. Unfortunately I don't have any experience with any of Jim B's 210 cabs.
Speaking of Jim B, he weighed in on the topic of combining various cabs he provides and as far as I recall, he basically said "if it sounds good it is good"
Given that the OP is intending to stack ported cabs with reasonable close power handling specs, he should be fine either way.

I recently got myself a second CN210, so have the 2x210 stack. Very nice.
When I bought the first CN210 (years ago), a CN112 was in the running as well - this was to be my "small rig."
I was already using a CN212, so could have done the CN312, but I decided I didn't have much use for a 112 as a single cab, and liked the 210 as a stand alone better than the 112.
Really like the tone of the 210, and was needing a little more volume, so doubled up. I've got a great big-medium-small cab situation going, and I'm not mad about it.
I would say think about your volume and schlep needs, and maybe go from there. Would you use the 112 as a single? Will you ever want more cab?
If you want some tonal variety, and size/ volume are not a big concern, then maybe mix 'em.

As I have said before, in my little world and for the non metal I play, 2 NV115's stacked are excellent. 2x15 ( sealed) + 2x6" midrange - and no stinking tweeters! Sweet
i know this wasn't one of your options, but i like two HDN-112.
I don't think it gives the sound wanted for the money, but that is only my opinion, so don't bother much.
I won't, but thats kind of a funny thing to post in a thread where the OP's topic question is whether to stack Berg HDN cabs (210x2 vs 210+112). If you personally don't care for Berg cabs, all good - we all have our likes and dislikes, but many here, and particularly in this thread, are big fans of Berg cabs.

I have an HDN-210 and a CN112 and I find that they compliment each other beautifully. Big bottom, great mids and, if you like sizzle you've got the tweeters on both.
Depending of the size of a gig, I can use either separately but together they just work.
I also have an AE410 but I find that the HDN-210 and CN112 work for most of my gigs.

My experience with Bergantino products (and Jim Bergantino) has been outstanding in every regard. Did you have a bad experience with a Berg product or is it just not your sound?
I'm not challenging what you said, but it strikes me as very unusual and would like to understand what got you to that position. Thanks in advance for whatever you are willing to share.
