Well its been about 4 months since I purchased 2 HT-112's from George at bassgeardirect.com.au in Australia (GeorgeG tb member)
First off, hats off to George, first class service and excellent hands on knowledge and experience. Very valuable in helping me choose the correct cabs for my needs.
I absolutely love these cabs!! The best way to describe them is tight!! Especially on the low end. The low end is so tight and clear - and this was what I was looking for.
After years of playing I realise everyones taste and idea of great tone is different, but for me this is what I was looking for! My rig is all about compromise. To be honest I would love 2 4X10's sitting behind me every time I play ... but I love the idea of 1X12 cabs. One for small stuff and 2 for bigger gigs. I am absolutely loving the clarity these bergs produce.
Another thing is these things are small!! They are considerably smaller than the aggie 1X12's they replaced.
How do I know I am loving these cabs?? Its the first time in years, I turn up to a gig , plug in and never turn around to fiddle with me eq etc.. I am loving the tone right off the batt. My old cabs I would be constantly thinking, how do I get more punch etc... I am just enjoying my sound.
Oh and my fretless warwick through one cab at smaller gigs is just my absolute favorite tone - I am loving it!
I am currently running these cabs with an iAmp 500. I pretty much run it flat out even if using one cab or two. The only thing I may do in the close future is upgrade to the iamp 800 mainly for just some more headroom. Currently I do have enough volume.
Last thing I want to say is how much I appreciate George getting his business off the ground. The prices he is offering for the high end bass gear is as good as if not cheaper than brands such as SWR and GK. Great bass gear in Australia is now a lot more accessible because of guys like George. I have been eyeing off bergs for about 2 years and have tried getting some from the US before - when I saw EA and Bergantino was going to be Georges first brand - I was ecstatic!
In summing up -I love the Bergs!!
ps. Sorry for the crap pic but no picture .... no cabs

so I'd expect it to be there for a while. Very rare basses like that also have very rare owners over here in Aus!
My bad...
