Double Bass Berklee audtion

Hey there,
I want to audition for Berklee college of music,
but I'm not sure what to play as they allow students to perform just about anything they want as long it shows themselves,
but that seems a little too naive to me.

what advice or thoughts do you have about auditioning for berklee,
or college freshmen auditions of any kind?

If you have a serious interest in orchestral/classical music, and envision playing in an orchestra, I'm not sure Berklee is the school you want to consider.

Have you looked at the school's website? They have a "bass" department. You should contact someone there to get a better idea of what they are looking for in an audition.

Graduated in May. NOT a classical school. Look elsewhere.

Not a classical school but they do have some (very limited) classical options for a bassist. For Berklee you should play whatever you play best, they just want to see that you show potential as a musician. Again, if you want to be an orchestra player, don't go to Berklee. Otherwise it's a good school.
