Watched a 2 hour Zoom hang from the Berklee Bass Dept at 5am this morning. Steve Bailey, Michael League, Anthony Jackson, John Patitucci, Victor Wooten, Oteil Burbridge, and Ron Carter! Maybe the best Bas hang thing I’ve ever seen, so much wisdom and experience, happily and generously shared will over 1000 viewers. One of the best takeaways was a thought from Victor Wooten. He’s not wanting to get back to normal after all this Covid-9 stuff, he’s intent on being better than normal, not just as a musician, but as a person.
