Hey all, can anyone give me any recomendations for albums, or anything live bernard edwards has done? i've heard his bass playing on le freak and hes the greatest dance and i want your love etc and man can he groove, i really wonna no more about him and what other stuff hes done

Get Dance Dance Dance, The Best of Chic (Atlantic). Check out We are Family and some of the Robert Palmer stuff that Edwards produced.

It's probably been mentioned on other threads, but I'll mention again that Bernard's playing on Diana Ross' solo album "Diana" is among the best of his career. Look up the tunes "I'm Coming up" and "Upside Down".

Drummer Tony Thompson, who was BE's bandmate in Chic, also plays on this stuff and it's still a great example of rhythm section playing that still holds up decades after it was released. I still can't believe both men have passed away so young....
