so i was wondering if anyone has a recording or video of someone playing this concerto. it was written in the 60's i think and is a very modern sounding piece, and i dont think its played very often so if you know of any video recordings that would be awesome.
thats too bad. i think my teacher has a recording i think from when one of his friends played it at eastman in the 60's but its on sometype of record or something and he cant get it into a tape or cd form.
No matter what medium it was stored on, tape or vinyl, it can be transferred to digital form if somebody has the equipment to play it back. Is it possible it was recorded on a wire recorder? It would be interesting to hear.
I would be interested if anyone knows of other works for double bass solo with a largish group of winds. I have played Francaix's "Mozart New-look" but am looking for others.
