Best 1x15 budget amp?

I'm looking to get a 15" combo amp that will not break the bank. I'm looking to spend at most about $350.
I was considering a peavy max and a fender rumble.

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions that I may benefit from.

Thanks fellow bass lovers.

I really enjoy the 210 version, but I've also heard great things about the Genz Benz Contour 500 115T: Invalid Link Removed

EDIT: The store linked above is generally willing to work deals/discounts if you call or live chat. I think $350 would be possible, and if I remember correctly, shipping is free. Good luck with whatever you choose. The are a lot of good suggestions in this thread.

A 1 x 15", if you mean a separate speaker only cabinet. Go for a bargain - must be some in your locality.
I found a Carlsbro Viper for about £50 in a charity shop a few years ago. Old tech but reliable sound with E.Q.
Plus Viper extra sound effect and a 15" speaker. Just right for small jobs. It does have a volume control so
just right for tiny gigs. Craigs list should cough up something surely.

Can't get better than this for the price. 300 watt combo that can go to 500 watts with an extension cab.

Where are you geographically? (roughly) I'm sure there is someone near you on here and TBers tend to be pretty helpful.

Man there are always screaming deals on combo amps where I am and I would call my area pretty much rural.

There are a couple of brands that for whatever reason have horrible resale values. Carvin and Yorkville come to mind. And they both made some pretty stout 1-15 combos over the years.

If you are trying to stick to new, Carvin is running a special where they throw in a free cover and free shipping for this guy. I haven't heard one but their speakers cabs have been pretty good over the years. It's right at the top of your budget but at 250W it has plenty of juice to add an extension cab later if need be.

In fact they carry a matching cab so if you are able to save up another couple hundred later on you can grow your rig to something pretty flexible pretty quickly.

A used Traynor Small Block (200w) or the Traynor DynaBlock (400w) could be potential candidates.

Premier Guitar's Review of the Small Block:

Pros:
Light, feature-rich, and powerful for its size.
Cons:
May be too small for large venues. A little pricey.
