Best 5-string for AEADG tuning?

I am sorry if this topic has been covered, but due to some things taking place in my musical career at the moment it is time for another 5 string. However, the lowest string will be tuned to A rather than B. I think I have this narrowed down to 3 choices, those being:

G&L L2500 (if still made) or M2500 tribute
Lakland Skyline 55-01
Schecter Stiletto Custom 5 (I have also considered the Diamond P 5 Custom, but I believe there have been weight concerns mentioned with this bass. Ditto for G&L)

I would entertain something cheaper than any of these, but I have concerns about a 34" scale 5-string for the tuning this will have. I mention the G&L because it appears that the tuner for the low B may make the cut. If not, please say so.

If you have other suggestions, please feel free to make them as well.

I had a peavey millennium that I tuned to A and it was awesome. Cheap too

I wondered about those, but I *thought* those may have been 34" scale length. I take it you had no issues with yours then if it gets the thumbs-up?

The Millennium 5-string basses are 35" scale, as is the Lakland Skyline you listed.

The other 2 are 34".

My vote is for a Dingwall; that 37" B-string takes dropped tuning VERY well. I used my Dingwall tuned AEADG for ~5 years and it was always totally solid.

Yes, I'm biased, but I'm biased because I had gone through SO MANY 5-string basses trying to find one that worked for me.

I stopped looking when I got my first Dingwall, and have since gotten 2 more Dingwalls.

The Dingwall Combustion basses would set you back $1100-$1200; a bit higher than your price range, but at least a DIngwall will do the job you need it to do.

The only thing is that given where I am at I think I would be willing to spend the money you mentioned on the Dingwall. Plus, the idea of a 37" scale length would be incredible...incredibly awesome!

The Ibanez BTB is 35" scale and should handle a detuned B>A. They sound and feel pretty good.
