Best 6 string bass under $ 600?

Look at used Carvins...great basses for little $. Spacing is a tad tight though.

I just bought my SR706 about a month ago. I did play some BTBs and I chose the soundgear because the neck was more comfortable and felt faster to me. The BTB was very nice but seemed to have a wider string spacing and played a little more like an MTD. Either way you wont go wrong. Both are pretty serious instruments for the money.
Id check ebay and CL since alot of guys seem to buy 6'ers and then sell them off. Not sure why
