Best 6 String?

Any recommendations? Is Ibanez the only game in town, or are there other, better 6 string basses?

This falls into personal preference as well as price range. The best one that I've played was a Warwick Proline 6, absolutely fantastic. That being said, there's LOTS of other options out there in various price ranges, scale lengths, types of pickups, etc. etc. What are some things that you're looking for?

Peavey Cirrus 6. Great sounding Bass. Used it will set you back about a grand

Many options from $200 to $20,000. Peavey Cirrus 6 is one in the mid price range. Had one once and it was a wonderful bass.

The best Six String I've played was a Warwick Thumb neck through, back in the late 80's, back at Rudy's Music in NYC.

The absolute worst Six String I've played was a Warwick Thumb neck through, which I recall playing at Gelb Music, I think, in the mid 90's.

So....there ya go.

Some of the best sounding 6 strings and many others as well in all price ranges.

You need to give some specifics--scale length, price range, bridge spacing, number of frets,
passive or active, etc.

I like my WOB 826. Threw some EMG bits in it and for around 350 total I got a bass that outplays anything else in the price range with 6 strings
