Ok I've tried the search function and didn't really get a concrete answer. I've recently gone from being a plug in and play kind of player to having effects and a biamped setup.
I have an Eden WT800 and an Aguilar AG500 with different effects running into these amps. Currently I am using a Beta52 to mic the Eden and it sounds great. The Aggie's been mic'ed by a 57 that works but occasionally is clipped. Both amps have DI's but don't sound as good as my Epifani and Aguilar cabs do.
I am thinking of getting another Beta 52 for the Aggie but was wondering if there was a different approach(mic?) I should be taking. My current band has only played out once utilizing this setup and the sound guy was cool but I don't expect that everytime we play.
So does anyone have a suggestion about mics, Di's or a combination of both that would make it easier to set everything up quickly at shows with minimal drama between band(we all love my new sound!!!!) and soundguy?
