Dude its Immortal and actually they friggin kick butt they just make intentionally cheesy videos. Id love to see a spinal tap take on the black metal scene.

Oh my God, those Immortal videos sucks so bad .. I can't believe they actually spent their free time, "roaming the forests dressed in black" .. A friend of mine said that they actually did that just for fun.

I'm from Norway, so I love norwegian black metal. Especially in the winter, not so much in the summer, doesn't fit that well. I'd recommend Emperor and Immortal, my two favourite NBM bands.

Immortal are indeed sweet, but I don't think the original intention of those vids were of the cheese variety...I mean those mid-90s BM guys were pretty serious.

That is true but Immortal was an exeception. It is true that the mid-90s where the darkest times for the genre but Immortals lyrics are more about Norweigh and how cold it is or their fictious land they write about called Blashkyrk than satanic stuff. They werent into church burning or anything like that either. They may not have been intentionally cheesy but they were defenitely not super serious either.
