***NOTICE*** Haters and trolls need not apply. I don't care if you think metal sux or not. If that's all you have to say is "metal sucks its stupid blah blah blah" then troll another metal thread!!!!
This thread isn't strictly for metal bassist. It's just not for trolls and haters.

With that said...

Hello friends, I want to know what you the users think the best bass is for all things metal. Im talking sound playability and looks.

For me of course one if the first basses that cone to mind is th B.C. Rich warlock. I have one and yes it loins awesome, but that's about it.it only looks cool. Sure you can get a sig series Warlock but let's get real. Those things are expensive.

But there is another, even better, I actually own this bass, so I know first hand. ESP LTD F404. Not alot of love here for ESP LTD, but that doesn't mean they're no good. In fact I feel it's THE PERFECT bass for metal. What about you? What do you think is the best bass for metal?

I know very little of metal, but from what I've heard, the 98 Warwick FNA I had awhile back would work nicely. I sold it as it didn't fir into anything I was doing. Played SUPER-nice, cut through ANYTHING(that was the issue, really- it was too aggressive for my stuff). It was a 4 w/a MM type PU & active 3-band EQ. It was very good for punk, if you wanted to actually hear what the bass was doing.

Edit: Didn't consider the *looks* part of the OP, sorry.
