**** that! Peter ****ing Steele!
Those of you who don't know of him or what he was about, unfortunately you never will. A search engine will never do him justice, nor will listening to a few random songs. Had some really deep tunes, musically, structurally, and lyrically (not to mention vocal pitch). The Beatles were a main influence. I'm 44. My dad grew up a huge Beatles fan and he loves Type O Negative. I liken them to a heavy metal Roger Waters' Pink Floyd. First time I saw Type O, they did covers of Back In The USSR, and Bad Moon Rising in their own style. Another time, they played for more than 2 hours straight - NO STOPPING, not even between songs for a split second. 6'8", twisted sense of humor, built like a pro wrestler, you've seen the chain strap, and his issue of Playgirl is the most requested back issue ever. He spent 18 months at Riker's for beating the hell out of a dude who grabbed his girlfriend's ass at a L'Amour. That was one bad dude. The epitome of what a front man should be. Huge shame that he's gone, almost 4 years now.
