    Hi Guys,
Can anyone recommend me which bass instruction book should I get? Im thinking of getting the book that has a guide for chords and scales with some pictures.

    thanks

Improvisors Bass Method by Chuck Sher is pretty much a bible.

I've got it and love it but don't you think it's a bit steep if someone is at the stage of just wanting chords, scales and some pictures?

What level are you starting from, technik? Also, what's your location? That might affect what's available (and someone might be able to put you onto a good deal).

It has chords and scales inteh 1st few pages... then more stuff. I see what you mean tho :)

Why not just go into the nearest music shop, my local shop is more than a little crap, but still has enough books for beginner bassists
