One of my favorites: Dave LaRue on "Over Easy" from Steve Morse Band's Coast to Coast album.

Lots of GREAT solos mentioned. Though there is no such thing as "best" - it's great to hear people's suggestions - got a few new things to listen to and further broaden my musical horizons.

There is a short 10 second long bass solo on Tommy the Cat, and it's pretty cool speed-wise. Either way, I know both songs for their awesome bass lines.
