Best Bass Teacher in Toronto?

Hi,

I've been playing bass for roughly a year, learning from online videos. I'm now playing in a cover band that gigs sometimes, but I've come to the point where I need some help that I can't get from videos.

Any suggestions about great bass teachers in Toronto?

You hit it right when you said that in-person instruction is what you need. I was at the same point and ended up getting a teacher that plays both EB and DB that introduced me to reading and jazz at the time, which is what I needed.

In any case, that is what you should be looking for, someone to teach you about music theory, how to read, how to analyze a piece and technique. TO is a big place so you might be swamped with teachers - so in order to find "the one" ensure that they can do all of the above for you. Also, ask for a sample of their playing too.

Just make they are bass players not just a guitar player who happens to play some bass as well.
I take lessons at their Cobourg location and my teacher is fantastic.
I have learned so much in the two months I have been
with him.
