Best cab pairing?

Get two 1x12/6 fEarful-style cabs if you want a small versatile rig. If you want a bigger one, get a pair of 15/6 fEarful-style cabs.

Another good pairing is a couple of the 3015 1x15's that Ryan Mohr got - check the LDS club thread for it.

I guarantee two 15/6's with the fEarful specs and drivers will bury an 8x10 with enough watts. That said if you're sticking to the GK 400 RB IV, I would recommend going with something more sensitive than any of those setups.

The two Compact-style 3015 cabs would probably be great and go at least as deep as your 8x10.

How about a 3015 cab and a 3012 (?) cab. This would be versatile and they would work together fine.

Similar to the Barefaced compact/midget pairing.

Although, a double fEarful rig would be amazing and very loud. Just make sure that the 6.5s are kept close together.

You wouldn't need the 10s. Remember, speaker size alone means nothing and besides, the 3015LFs in the fEarful along with the 6.5" drivers will give you a pretty even response through most frequencies.

A cab with a 3015 would not need a mid range driver so much as it is more 'full range' in of itself as it's response extends further into the mids than the 3015LF. You probably wouldn't even need a tweeter.

By the way, if I've got any of this wrong can someone cleverer correct me? :)

The fEarful cabs are louder than your average bass 115. Each one is roughly equivalent to a 610 or so in output. Also the 410/115 combination rarely does anything productive. It's better to use only one type of speaker (except in some unusual cases) as differet phase responses is not ideal in a rig.

Of course some people like how certain things sound and not how other things sound. Nevertheless, the fEarful route is wise one to follow.

Another alternative is to get a BFM cab.

That's unbelievable. How exactly do fEarful cabs work or how are they made so that they are as loud as a 6x10? I looked at the threads but they have mostly info about specs and I still can't comprehend that a 115 can be that loud lol.

Wow that makes me want them if 2 will be lighter and louder than my 8x10. One thing that is holding my back is that it said it's expensive to make these. I was planning on selling my 810 to pay for the 2 cabs I would have made at LDS, but i haven't asked for a quote yet.

Around how much will it cost from LDS to have 2 of the 15/6 cabs made?

Do you know where I can find a pic of the Barefaced vintage? And also if the specs are different will the cab lose all that power the 15/6 is said to have?
