Best CHORUS pedal for bass??/

Hello,lurking for awhile now,new posting here.I have 2 basses,a 2013 Gibson Les Paul Standard,and a '62 RI Fender Precision.I run them into an Orange Terror Bass 500 2x12 combo.

I'm not much of a bass effects guy,as I tend to feel the bass produces such a cool,foundational tone on it's own that 97% of the time,it simply doesn't need them.But.....I am looking for some 'warble' & 'shimmer' due to some of the more 'ethereal' stuff I'm finding myself coming up with these days.

Some examples of the GENERAL sound I'm looking for would be stuff like-

The bass solo in the middle of David Gilmour's 'Murder'...
The bass tone on the album version of 'Hey You'....
Rob DeLeo's tone on STP's 'And So I Know'...etc.



I'm currently looking at,or have checked out-
The MXR Analog Chorus...ok,could see myself with it,but not floored.
The MXR Stereo Chorus...know very little about it.
The Maxon Stereo Chorus,the purple one....expensive!!
The Earthquaker Devices 'The Depths'...some very cool sounds,but don't know how much of them I'd ever actually use.

The Budda Karma Chorus.....I like Budda's amps a lot,and very limited soundclips are good,but know very little.

Any suggestions/comments on any of the above? HELP!!/

I've been digging the Malekko Chorus at 18v lately. It reminds me of an old Keeley Hi-Fi Mod Boss CE-2 that I used to own, but with a wider frequency response.

TC Corona can do just about any chorus sound. I got one and haven't looked back.

The MXR Bass Chorus Deluxe has a cool crossover feature making it very useful in live settings, and also does a nice flange. I have mine on most of the night these days.

My 2 favs after owning around between 12-15 are the Analogman (of course) and the Ibanez/Maxon CS-9. The CS-9 was a bit of a surprise. Its really good on bass.....not as subtle as some of the boss' and not over the top. Sits nicely in a mix.

MXR Stereo Chorus rules. It sounds so good. I've used one for years. I don't know about any of the other pedals mentioned though. Before that I used a Boss CE2 that I was happy with.

Try a boss CH1, or a mooer ensemble king.

My favorite chorus is Earthquaker Devices Sea Machine.

Also give the Mooer Ensemble King a look.

I use the TC Corona. For the 2 songs I use it, it does the job just fine. Plus you can download Toneprints.

The MXR Analog is a solid choice for a nice, deep, useable chorus tone in a small footprint and at decent price. The EQD Sea Machine would be my choice for wobblier, seasick, weirder chorus tones (although it can do a credible basic chorus as well). However my personal favorite, and IMO the top choice for a more "chime-y" and "shimmery" tone with plenty of treble is the Iron Ether Polytope (at mild settings; it gets wild pretty fast).

Check out the Source Audio Orbital. It gets a gret chorus sound that is very versatile and tweakable. You should be able to get the sound you want from it. Also you can get any Flanger, Phaser, resonator or vibe with 2 presets. It's a great deal brand new. Definitely worth checking out.

The Orbital is definitely great, but I still prefer my Sea Machine for chorus. If you think you're ever going to want more than a chorus, you should really consider the Orbital.

I've always just used a Boss Super Chorus because its what Pete Steele used...

...but you should have a look at some second hand websites, I often find some bargins on a UK based one I use

I like the EBS Unichorus. mind you it's the only EBS pedal I've got along with.
